A pioneering furry sort-of-convention in Japan held on January 14th. The event was entirely sports-based and held in a gymnasium. I understand that RMFC isn't in a gymnasium, but I wanted to toss the idea out to see what other con-goers and the event staff would think.

Hey furs, I am gonna be going to RMFC this year on Amtrak because it is a lot cheaper than flying. I wanted to know if anybody is traveling from on train 6 (eastbound California Zephyr) so we could possibly sit together!

Coming from Rapid City South Dakota

This is going to be my first con (still sorta up in the air since its so early in the year though), and if the plans all work then I'll be heading out from Rapid and I enjoy driving so if you are along the way or not too far out of the way I wouldn't mind some company. I currently expect room for 2 more though idk about trunk space D:
I would also be interested in sharing a room possibly to help reduce cost.

Ride from southern Utah?

Yup i'm in need of a ride from southern utah. It's more fun to travel with friends and this year i can't fly up. last year i could this year no. So if anyone in southern utah or northern utah is willing to take a little purple fuzzy like me to denver that would be really appreciated. I can ride with anyone. If the pickup is in the north then i'll get me a bus ride up. may need a place to stay for a little sleepover though. depends on when we go. I'm a good house guest if that's the case if i have to go north. I really don't want to drive all by myself. Plus i need car insurance so even a bus would not be fun. But may be needed sadly. I can bring snacks and a large water bottle for the driver.

I am quiet enough and may just sit in the car and stare out the window. I have a fursuit (or two depends on how fast i can get it done) so it may or may not remain a partial. I pack tightly though and try to take only three containers max. fursuit may be in a box and the body (if applicable) will be vacuum sealed tightly down. I'll give a tube of glowsticks out too ^^ if wanted. I am happy to share treats and love meeting new people.

Last year was my first year going and I had no one to room with. A group of kind people let me room with them and I hope we're rooming again this year. That's how much I love meeting new people. That's how easy it is to get along with me.
Have room and will be passing by?

Note me on Furaffinity @ www.furaffinity.net/user/spinningpeanut to let me know if you have room for one fursuiter. Who knows? You may already know me from last year.

(btw a biiiiiiig thank you again to SK skunk for being so kind as to get me to the airport on time for my plane <3 hopefully I'll see you again this year and we can have lots more fun with the guys in the pool area again.
Also thanks to the long necked guy in charge ;P for putting on this con and for the awesome shears that were attached to the brushes last year. They've made my fursuit making go much smoother when reducing a super fuzzy muzzle down to thin fur.)

Game Room Ideas?

First and foremost, let me offer a disclosure that I am in NO way whatsoever related to con staff or panel staff. I'm merely providing a topic for potentially interested parties.

That aside...

Hullo! Some of y'all may remember me from last year's RMFC. T'was my first con and it was absolutely wonderful. One area that I feel we all may be able to contribute to, however, is the game room.

I would be more than willing to pony up a flash drive with tons of Stepmania songs and simfiles, however, I will not be able to transport my entire computer rig, nor do I have a dance pad. I heard talk at the closing last year that it may be a possibility in the future to have such a setup and, needless to say, I'd be pumped for it.

In addition to video games, tabletop games would be more than welcome. I may be able to convince my ride to pack Dominion, a deckbuilding game, and one of its expansions. Quick, easy to pick up and play, card or dice-based games would probably be enjoyable. Zombie Dice is another one that comes to mind.

Anyone else have ideas as to what could be potentially enjoyable, video or tabletop-wise? Anyone have any ideas as to what's going to be available in terms of time, systems, and televisions?

Discuss, and I look forward to seein' y'all in August!
