Events Updates

Many questions have been asked of me to when events are happening, and schedule availability.

The final schedule will not be available until late June due to most events being submitted in the months right before the convention. Generalized Schedule days and times will be available by the end of May, and all schedules are subject to change, however the Programming and Events staff promise to do what we can to limit changes to the least amount possible, and with as much notice as we are able, including door signs, and morning notices of any changes for the day at the convention.

As of right now. (April 23th) I do not have exact times and days for every event that will happen during the convention. what I DO have is approximate times and days for our major returning events.

Friday
Opening Ceremonies - late morning or early afternoon
Meet the Guests of Honor - Shortly after the Opening Ceremonies, whenever those occur
Guest of Honor Cocktail Party/Reception - Early to Mid Evening, Ticket-holders only
Poker Tournament Qualifiers - Late evening and VERY late evening (8:00 and 1:00am)
Fursuit Games - afternoon (reoccuring event each day)

Saturday
Fursuit Parade - Early Afternoon
Free Can Cook - Late Afternoon to early Evening
Guest of Honor Dinner - Early to mid evening, Ticket-holders only
Poker Tournament Qualifiers - Early morning through the day. (1:00am, 9:00am, 3:00pm)
Poker Tournament Finals - Evening ( 8:00 pm )
Fursuit Games - afternoon (reoccuring event each day)

Sunday
Fursuit Games - afternoon (reoccuring event each day)
Icecream Social - Early Afternoon
Town Council Feedback session - Mid afternoon
Closing Ceremonies - Mid Afternoon

Other Events of Note
NEW - Overnight Gaming Room, 6:00pm to 6:00am Friday and Saturday (Closed early Sunday)
NEW - Fursuiters Playpen - open room with large toys to play with for Photo opportunitys and fun.
NEW - Balloon animal and Puppet making Panels

Other events yet to be scheduled.
Species panels ; Canines, Lizards/dragons, Birds, (need somebody to host them)
Vulpines, Hooves, Felines (have hosts already, time To be determined)
Nerf shootout events ; I intend to have a few, just need to find times to set them.
Drawing Style Differences ; Hunting for willing artists


I intend to post notices of more major events as they come up. If you wish to host an event at Rocky Mountain Fur Convention 2011 please submit your offer at http://www.rockymountainfurcon.org/events/event-registration.html as soon as possible to allow for planning and to get the time and day you request. Rocky Mountain Fur Convention is also still accepting Art submissions for the 2011 Convention Book as well as early submissions for our 2012 Convention.

i wish to put in the dance competition second day of the con middayish.....maybe some time around 3or 4.would that be ok with you....i know you can make it work
