DJ Submissions
Hi all, sorry I haven't posted in here sooner.
Freefox is in charge of the dances again this year, and I have high hopes that we'll manage to meet all of your wishes and expectations this year. We are planning to have much more radio song time this year, and are looking for submissions for people wanting time on the stage DJing, either with song mixes, mash-ups, or taking requests for popular music.
I hope to have a place up soon where people can submit their music samples. For now, if you wish to be considered for a DJing time slot at one of the dances, please respond to this thread with;
Your Name - Legal name and Alias (DJ Jive Funkadelic or whatever)
Your Genre - Dubstep, Trance, Radio, Pop, Rap, etc
Your Experience - Conventions or venues played at, related employment, time doing, etc
Song Sample - If mixing or creating music, post a link to a sample of your music.
Contact Information - Email address to contact you prefered
Available nights if you are not available all three evenings.
Disclaimer : All people who are accepted will be notified of their stage time and day prior to the convention. All scheduled artists will be given time during the day to familiarize themselves with the sound system if possible. Failure to show up for the appointed and agreed upon time without reasonable prior warning may result in not being invited back. If we are unable to contact you and get confirmation that you accept or negotiate your stage time within a reasonable period, your slot may be revoked and given to someone else.

I wouldn't be asking for a ton of time. Two hours tops for a single set? I can play more than one. Let me know as far in advance as possible, I put a lot of love into it <3 I also don't own tables of my own so if I'm selected or whatever, send me as much info on the equipment as you can. I've used a few at our productions and I'm sure I can figure it out.
edit: forgot to mention, coming in from ABQ, NM. Going to school at New Mexico Tech in Socorro

I am interested in playing at this venue. I have all the equipment I need to play except for speakers. A mixer would be nice but my setup does all that with software so I could get away without one.

I am used to playing in 1-2 hour blocks but would be fine with doing it longer as long as I get breaks every so often or it is spread out over multiple days. Also it would be nice to let me know before hand if you want me to play specific genre's or make everything fcc compliant that way I can prepare material before hand.
