Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2012 theme will be "Furry Apocalypse!" We are proud to announce that we will once again be held at the wonderful Doubletree Hotel Denver August 10-12, 2012. Guests of Honor have been announced as David Hopkins, prolific artist and creator of the web comic Jack. And fursuiter Syber of Made Fur You. We look forward to putting on another GREAT convention.

Are you a new artist hoping to make an impression? Are you an artist that's been around and want to show everyone just how good you really are? Well, for the first time EVER, we present:
The Official Conbook Cover Contest! - May 1st, 2012 - June 10th, 2012 Details/Deadline: Submissions will be accepted between now and June 10th. The winner will be announced on Friday, June 15. The winning artist will have their artwork prominently displayed as our conbook cover. In addition, the winner will also receive a Sponsor Level Membership to RMFC 2013! Runner-ups will have portions of their artwork displayed throughout the conbook, and in-full as a thumbnail on a Submissions page. Submissions should be emailed to conbook@rockymountainfurcon.org with 2012 Conbook Cover Contest in the subject.
Size/Format/Content Requirements: The conbook cover is 17 x 11 inches, basically two standard 8.5 x 11 pages side by side with a little bit off for standard bleed (16.5 x 10.5). Your design should be able to fit that size. Because our conbook cover is printed in full color, we'd prefer that your submission also be in color. Submissions should be of high print quality, in PDF or TIF format. The artist has full descretion as far as content, as long as it can be tied to the theme (however loosely) "Furry Apocalypse!" Please keep your work PG-13. Submissions should be emailed to conbook@rockymountainfurcon.org with 2012 Conbook Cover Contest in the subject. Rocky Mountain Fur Con has a new Registration System. What is a Furry Convention?
A furry convention, also called a fur con or furry con is a gathering of members of the furry fandom. Furry conventions provide a place for fans to meet and greet, buy items such as artwork and generally hang out and have fun. Rocky Mountain Fur Con, like all furry conventions offer a range of programming, focusing on anthropomorphic art, crafts, music and literature. We also raise money for charities such as the Denver Zoo and animal rescues programs. Often, we dress up at conventions in costumes called Fursuits, which are usually representative of whatever animal we most relate to, or whatever we think will be the most fun and creative!
